In an exciting chapter for the new made-to-measure technology business, Taper spent a week in Florence to officially launch the software to the tailoring industry.
Our visit coincided with the twice yearly menswear festival, Pitti Uomo, an international event that draws tens of thousands of industry visitors to Florence, from global brands to small tailors, suppliers, partners and agencies.
We were lucky enough to take over a beautiful old Florentine antique store, just off the Piazza di Santa Maria Novella, converting it into a Taper Showroom and using it as a home base to showcase our game-changing made-to-measure technology to brands and tailors from all over the world.
Taper Co-Founder, Robin McGowan, says the experience was an exciting opportunity for the business:
“There are very few events like Pitti Uomo that attract so many people from the tailoring industry to the one place at the same time, so it was an incredible chance to meet with so many potential customers and brands, showing off this incredible technology.”
As well as a series of demonstrations and one-on-one meetings with clients across more than 40 countries, Taper used the beautiful antique store to host a series of small social events, officially toasting the launch of the business in a more relaxed setting.
“The feedback was incredible,” says Robin, “and we were really glad to demonstrate the simplicity and scalability of our software to clients from all over the world. It was very existing to sign up some new clients and build strong relationships that will help to further build our international footprint as one of the most exciting and innovative new businesses in the made-to-measure industry.”
